These IP location things aren't accurate, when I was on AOL a few years ago it said I was in the US

Now it gets the country right but its still way off, sometimes saying I am in the South East other times saying way up North when I am in the South West. It's just meant to be within 25 miles but with me it's way over 10x that

A bit of both. Like in the england map, most of the circles range from 1-10 visits. London has about 572 though. It's the much darker circle buried under some other circles. Basically the darker and bigger the circle, the more people have visited in the city/area.

IP is in no way deterministic of your location. But when you were on AOL, and it said you were in the US...I'm not surprised since it is America Online after all .

It's a little bit tricky to get the map of a specific country sometimes. You have to go into a region and zoom out and then zoom back in to get precision .
