In another thread I made earlier, I described how Wyoming sucked because it hadn't sent any users to Neocodex. Later I saw that some users from Wyoming had indeed visited Neocodex and so I retracted that statement. In that thread however, I mentioned that we hadn't gotten visits from a lot of countries and continents such as the African continent, many asian countries and so forth. I now need to retract this statement and give you guys some updated figures tongue.gif.

Here's the breakdown for each area of the world (in unique visitors):
America's: 10,523
Europe: 3,127
Asia: 945
Africa: 46
Oceania: 834

And there you have it tongue.gif. Sorry for the confusion earlier, but just wanted to clear this up tongue.gif. I may post more detailed statistics later. Or just get one of my minion's to do it devil.gif

46 from Africa.
More than I expected. :0

I remember first playing Halo 3 and seeing just a single little dot in Africa on the players online map. tongue.gif

Oceania includes Australia as well as New Zealand and some other countries like Indonesia and Singapore. It's like Southeast Asia tongue.gif.

They may not all have registered. Those are just the unique visitors who have visited our website tongue.gif.

Though you bring up a good point. I was looking through our database yesterday and it seems like we have about 15,000+ rows in our members table and only 12,000+ actual members. I'll see what is up tongue.gif. Maybe we may just have to recache some stuff tongue.gif.

That could be because of the Member prune thing

The amount of rows we have in the table is some 15,000+ ... I just confirmed this by doing a select count(distinct id) from ibf_members query on the database and it returned 15203. So now I need to figure out why our board is underreporting...

I'm surprised that we hadn't received more from Europe. How is this information gathered? Is it via just people who have logged in from those countries? Or from actual sign ups?

It's based entirely on who visits from that region of the world. We could do the amount of hits to our registration page but we haven't set that up. In the future we are going to be making use of google analytics a lot more smile.gif.

Can you bring up how many English are here? Just it'd be interesting to see if we're the vast majority of the Europe figures, I barely ever see people from other European countries really.

So here we go for Northern Europe:

United Kingdom: 1,705
Ireland: 42
Iceland: 5
Norway: 42
Denmark: 32
Sweden: 59
Finland: 62
Estonia: 42
Latvia: 9
Lithuania: 9

I forgot to mention by the way that these numbes are only within the last month. Were I to use data from all time, it would be much higher tongue.gif.

If anyone else wants data for their region or any other region, I or another staff member can get it for you tongue.gif.

Thought England would probably have the vast majority of members (I say England because we're guaranteed to contribute far more then Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland put together, considering how much greater our population is). Though I guess that makes sense, seeing as of Europe we're the only ones with English as our first language...shockingly enough tongue.gif.

The US sent 8,847 visitors. Now you do the square mile thing tongue.gif.
