Everyone has that one thing that freaks them out for no good reason. They feel embarrassed about being afraid of something so trivial.

Like a certain noise or something.

Mine is the THX noise. I HATE THAT SOUND. It scares the living crap out of me every single time I hear it. My boyfriend and I went to watch Die Hard the other day, and I heard the start of the THX noise and I immediately jumped on the remote, paused it, muted it, and let it continue. I shook for about 5 minutes after because I just can't take listening to it. >_____<;

My boyfriend looked at me like I was an idiot. D:

I am completely and utterly afraid of the dark. For no absolute reason at all.

When I am in the dark I see "things" moving, I see eyes watching me, etc.

Luckily I am able to keep it under control (most of them time). I can walk into a dark room with no problem. Go outside in the dark with no problem. I just convince myself nothing is out there.

But sometimes when I ge tout of my car after work (12 AM-ish) I will run to the door, just because it feels like something wants to hurt me.

Yep Im still afaid of the dark too its gonna be fun trying to teach my little one when she gets that age that there is nothing to be afraid of ... may have to get my boyfriend to teach us both XD

I was going to say spiders as well but thats not a stupid thing to be afraid of lol They are freaking scary

I'm afraid of letting people down....including myself. If I do something and feel as though I didn't do my best then I think about it for hours on end.

I suppose... being alone. Along with heights, I'm not afraid of being high just that I might fall. It's weird, I can walk to the edge of the roof of a 10 story building, but I feel so odd when I do it.

I'm afraid of needles. I know consciously that there is nothing to be afraid of, but I pass out every time. Must be a phobia.

Heights is one of mine too-I get dizzy and nauseous. And I'm claustrophobic, and have a fear of deep water.

Which has all been really freaking me out because I'm flying to Oahu in 10 days, and ALL of those fears are wrapped up in one big 767. I've never flown, and I'm terrified I'm going to have a panic attack before I even set foot on the plane!

I am afraid of elevators. probably cuz when i was little i got stuck in one but i am still afraid of them now. I avoid them as much as I can and I will not go in one alone.

I'm afraid of falling asleep alone. If I have to I end up rocking back in forth in bed and crying sometimes. Even sadder is I have no idea why the heck I'm so afraid. Must be something that happened to me when I was a baby..

My boyfriend helps remedy it by calling me and staying on the phone with me until I fall asleep though.. so it's not that bad sometimes..

I have a (yes, unfortunately it's diagnosed v_v) phobia/OCD about mold and expiration dates (among other things). If something has been in the fridge like leftovers for more than a couple days I can't eat it because I'm afraid of getting sick. I also constantly check expiration dates and I can't eat anything that's past it even if likely it's still okay and the rest of my family is eating it and is fine. I just can't do it. Freaks me out for some reason and annoys the hell out of my parents

I'm arachnophobic to an extent.
I'm aware that they do not harm me, but I still freak out like no tomorrow.
It's not back enough to stop me from getting close enough to smoosh one, though.

The other thing that gets me is when I'm alone and my mind imagines hearing things.

I'm terrified of going deaf. I freak out whenever I get an earache, or an infection, or whatever. I honestly don't think I could find much to live for without music, or sound for that matter.

I'm pretty sure to most people, being afraid of the dark is a stupid fear, but it's one of mine.
I'm at least a LITTLE BIT defensive in daylight, but at night I'm totally helpless when it's reallly dark.

I'm also totally paranoid and scared of getting old. I hear my grammaw on the phone with her friends all the time
talking about all their ailments and illnesses and stuff. She talks about these bumpy things that itch and come up on her
skin and if they get too bad she won't leave the house anymore. Like WTF, I don't want to get like THAT!

&& one of her friends having leg problems and veins being stripped out, I mean COME ON. I don't want to live to be old. >.<
