In todays world? Have a good idea and a good business model. You have to get the name out there and get some big league funding. That or if you already have a bunch of money, buy somebody else's good idea and go ahead and market the shit out of it. Hell, if you are so rich you can go ahead and pay somebody to do all the work for you!
