Well it would also be useful if you do a lot of cpu intensive stuff regularly like rendering images which would otherwise take quite a long time on a regular computer. I have to play around with large datasets pretty frequently and sometimes it takes a very long time to get output from what I'm trying to do. tongue.gif

A supercomputer is just a really powerful computer (having hundreds/thousands of processors rather than just one). So it can do stuff much quicker than a normal computer would.
