IBStore Update

Sup all.

Bad news first, good news after:

BAD NEWS: No more Name Effect items.
- Basically, a few programming 'advisors' have informed me that Firefox does NOT have the capability to display Drop Shadows or Glow Effects on names. This means that we have to discontinue our plan of having Name Effect items in the IBStore.

GOOD NEWS: I am, at this minute, programming new items for the store. Some cool things include: Magic Shields that stop others from stealing your points for a certain amount of times, some bank steal items, and other suggestions people have brought up.

I need icons though. If anyone has a good idea on where to find some icons for items (even if they are just miscellaneous icons), please let me know!

Take a look on deviantART, there's quite a lot of icon sets there and if you get in contact with the artists they may let you use them. There's also some free ones I've seen, but can't remember the names/url's exactly (or their usage terms).

That site is weird, it has all of the famfamfam icons as well as icons from what appear to be lots of other sites. Makes me wonder if they even have permission to redistribute them it that way.

I'll be adding a reference to their site anyways at the bottom of the ibstore copyright, so we will fulfill our responsibility of giving credit. It's up to them to fulfill theirs.

I doubt it but it is handy having lots of icons in the same place though. Their motto is "human knowledge belongs to the world" anyway so I'm guessing they are supporters of fair use. Also, they have in their disclaimer:

If you can find me effects that work in Firefox, I can program them in. By the looks of it though, we are out of luck.

Wow, sure helps when the programmer of IBStore spells "deposited" incorrectly in the code:

Yeah, exactly. For the next few days, it will be quite.... "interesting" to say the least. Then when the armory items come out, things will equalize again.

Also, we are going to be reinstating interest... very small amounts though, and I might make it fluctuate with respect to the posts per day value of the board to simulate a "healthy" and a "bad" economy, so there will be a point of a bank.
