the dog looked like it got right back up so I think it would be ok to find that humorous.
On a side note...when my wife got home last night she accidently let one of our housecats out. It decided to climb it's first tree....a 120ft oak and couldn't get down. I fell from about 50 in the air to the ground. It was knocked out and spewing blood. I was woken up by my wife hysterically crying holding the horrified cat. So I spent the better half of my 3 hours, before having to go to work, trying to find a vet on a sat evening Just to find out that all the blood was comming from the inner gums and lip area. Apparently it smacked a few limbs on it's way to the earth. Cat is sore doped up but fine. My pocket book is rather hurting.

But thinking about it logically, a dog would typically run between 10-15 mph so the car they was driving in was probably just a little faster than that. And at a drop of of less then four feet, the dog isn't going to do much damage to itself unless it was a puppy, but then a puppy couldn't jump that high out of a car.

Care to jump out of a moving vehicle to support that theory?

I can't think of any situation which I've been in which would require me (or even make me consider trying) to jump out of a moving vehicle.
