After trying Windows vista the first time, I was greatly Disappointed. Many bugs, resource hogging, you know the drill.

Well, I heard that SP1 fixes the majority of these issues, so I decided to borrow my Friend's copy. After installing Vista and Service Pack 1 it seemed like the rumors were true! Vista runs very nicely on my computer now. my "rating" is 2.0, but Trying the "Aero Experience" I didn't see much of a slowdown with it enabled. I'm not too keen on the User Access Control shite, but that was disabled within the first few minutes of installation.

overall I give Windows Vista four stars out of five.

This should prove i'm not a MS hater. whistling.gif

Windows Vista is still bad, if you don't have a scrubbed version they can look at your computer any time they want and control it. Read their TOS on Windows Vista.

Edit* I fully read your thread now and there's always a possibility that there might still be that User Access Control lying around. Not worth it in my opinion

-highfives-

I also agree that, quite frankly, Vista sucks pre SP1. I mean, yes, it's pretty, but it needs to run pretty smooth to keep us happy and alas, it doesn't. I completely agree with the User Access Control thing, and Vista also gave me me a false "rating". I recently reinstalled XP on my laptop and it's much happier now. :]

I don't see why people disable UAC. Just put up with it for a little while. It learns how you like to use your computer after a few days, you just have to give it time.

Hehe, I think we got some rules here on piracy? Kidding... or not wink.gif

Just because your Vista is pirated, doesn't mean it can't be updated. pirate1.png whistling.gif
