Ya, tonight was a pretty special night for me. My high school that I graduated from had there prom tonight and all the old alumni were at a party afterwards. One of the guys I still talked to gave me the heads up. It was really cool to see a couple hundred people, most of which I had not seen in 1-2years.

Everyone seemed exactly the same. I mean alot of them had heard rumors about what happened to me in Iraq, but it was bothersome that that was the first thing everyone asked me. I had to tell the same old un-detailed story over and over again. But after that was over it was a great time. We played some beer pong, sat around and caught up. Me and all my close friends from high school then left and headed to my buddies place. I had to drive so I didn't really drink to much, but we all watched old high school football films and what not. Then we talked some more, and talked and talked and talked.

It was a pretty special thing for me. I never knew I missed the simple times of high school so much. Once you have bills, marriages, ect. life gets more complicated and you really realize that even though you thought it was a hard and stressful time growing up, you had it made. Being and adult sucks compared to high school.

Another thing I must admit is this. While in highschool I thought I knew it all, and that I had all the answers. The moment I knew I was growing up, and really becoming wise, was when I realized I have hardly any answers and I definitely didn't know shit.

Just a little insight for the youngins. Adults may be wrong about a lot, but the one thing they are not wrong about is how little all you young whippersnappers know. I am telling you. The moment you realize you don't know shit is the moment you start to grow up. At least that is how it was with me.

Any other high school graduates have "reunions"?

Thanks for that little bit of advice, man.

Seems like you had a pretty damn good night. They come rarely... as you may already know.

Sounds like a good night. I agree with what you say! thumbsup.gif I have come to terms with the fact that I don't know everything but having confidence in what you do know or making people think you know what you are doing can be a big asset. Good insight though. I wish people could figure this out sooner in life.

BTW, I hate the word whippersnapper. mad.gif

Same, except I've seen quite a lot of my crowd around since then. Wouldn't change my current situation for the world and I quite enjoyed school. But I enjoy now despite bills and everything. *Shrugs*

I graduated in 2006. I still see some of the people in my class. But I'd rather NOT see most of them again. 1we8.gif
We probably won't have a reunion for a while. Maybe a 10th year or something.

I'd probably laugh at how all the pretty, popular, and ho-ish girls have gained weight now and are all wrinkly and shit from tanning. Ha. Ha.

I graduated in 06 as well, and honestly I miss the shit out of school.

Although I miss it I don't really care to see anyone from school. The only contact I still had from school was my ex girlfriend of two and a half years, but as of last month we stopped talking as well. I've talked to one friend who moved to Washington about a year ago over myspace a couple weeks back, but other then that, F everyone.

I think you tend to find out after graduation that just about everyone you thought you knew are fake. I'd rather not talk to the ones I don't know about and not have to worry about finding bull shit about them either.

I graduated highschool in... 2003. XD

I haven't actually had a "reunion"; but I do see friends from highschool rather often now. (There was about a year and a half that I didn't talk to most of them... Then I found them all again.)

I'm actually planning an impromptu trip down this weekend, perhaps. XD

We shall see. ohmy.gif

Graduated last year too. The people at my high school were and always will be stuck up brats. So I'm not really looking forward to a reunion. Tho I do still keep in touch with a few friends.
