I'm a MAC OS 10.4.11 user... and I have the current version of Java Runtime installed... and I'm using Firefox 3.0.6

This is the first neocodex program I've downloaded. I saved the Non-Windows contents together in my Applications folder.

When I click on sljMoneyTree.jar nothing happens... so I'm not sure if there is something else I should be doing?

I've tried restarting Firefox and opening the Money Tree page and nothing happens either.

Forgive my idiocy- I'm sure there is probably a simple reason for this, and it very well may simply be a compatibility issue, but any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm excited to use this if I can! smile.gif

Thanks!
~Alicia

hmm, I've also been trying to get this working on a mac. Problem is that codex checks setup seems to be in exe form. I've probably missed something, but I'd be interested to here how you've got on with this, Alicia.

I'm not sure where the non-windows folder is located. When I unzip []CodexCheck_V3.3.1.zip all I get is a setup.exe

I had downloaded the Codex Checks, but it is only in .exe format, which the Mac OS doesn't recognize...

I did, however, simply change the .jar files to .zip files and I was at least able to extract them... but there isn't a main program icon or anything, so I'm not sure if the program is self-starting or if I need to initiate it somehow...

Quinel: The non-windows folder is within the actual program download once you extract it... there will be that one and one that says windows. Once you get into the non-windows folder you will see the .jar files...

As for the Codex Checks download, it's only in .exe that I could see.

Do you have the Java Runtime Environment installed? If you do, you should be able to run the sljMoneyTree.jar file directly without having to extract anything other than the [Non-Windows] stuff (since I programmed it to be a self-executing package -- you'll notice a manifest file in the package if you unzipped the sljMoneyTree.jar file somehow (which is a step too far!), which tells Java exactly what to do when the JAR is ran). If you don't have the JRE installed, you could probably do a quick search on google for it.

The CodexChex come prepackaged with the Java programs. No need to install the CodexChex if you are not running Windows, just run the slJMoneyTree.jar directly if you have the Java Runtime Environment. tongue.gif

I have to admit, I have never tested this program on a Mac before. I have tested it using both Windows and Linux (Ubuntu distribution), and both seemed to support it fully at the time of testing. But because the Java Runtime Environment acts as its own "environment" complete with its own packages, it can theoretically run on any operating system that you can install the Java Runtime Environment on.

So install it using that. Shouldn't be a problem on a mac.

Yeah, huge problem unfortunately. tongue.gif Macintosh computers don't recognize Windows executable files, and luckilly with all of the Java programs, the user doesn't need to install anything extra (since the CodexChex are packaged with the program).

I'd say, just make sure they have the latest version of the Java Runtime Environment (available from Sun Microsystems for free somewhere on the net). tongue.gif Then open the JAR directly.

Well, as for this 999NP thing, I am now getting the "you're too slow" message. So I think the requests are working..... I might just have to speed things up a bit. Just glitchy. 1we8.gif

At any rate, I should have a new release soon now that I'm back and working on programs. I have to add the regular expressions wild cards for the items, and fix up the login a bit.

I'm also going to need someone that runs Mac OS X to test my program. Just install the Java Runtime Environment and run the .JAR file directly. Don't decompress it or anything.
(Macintosh people, you're going to be good friends of mine for the next four months because I'm going to have a lot of shit to test. biggrin.gif)

EDIT: Nevermind, I have my own Mac OS X virtual machine now for testing. tongue.gif You're free to try it out still though. tongue.gif

Ok, I've fixed the bug that is making it say IDLE all of the time when people are trying to grab items... it was just a dumb mistake on my part.
Still testing the 999NP thing, and also, I'm trying to figure out what errors people are getting with the login.

I'm also considering the scenario that it's trying to grab the NP too quickly, though I doubt this is happening because the it takes the same delay to take other things. 1we8.gif

UPDATE: The only thing I need to fix now is the 999NP thing. There were errors in the item grabbing routine, so this thing was only good for grabbing NP this entire time (except for the odd item in very special circumstances). 1we8.gif

I did. 1we8.gif Everything seemed to work properly at the time, lol. Besides these mistakes didn't affect the freeze rate, it would just rarely grab shit in the first place. tongue.gif
