Ok heres what happened. I had opera 9.50 downloaded and was using that. Then i recieved some info of a trick that could only work with opera 9.27 so i downloaded that. During installation it asked me if i wanted to upgrade of serarate install so i clicked separte install because i still wanted to keep 9.50. Ever since then everytime i try to bring up Opera i get an error that says "Another user is running this copy of opera. YOu should install opera with individual profiles to allow multiple users to run the same copy independently." Ive tried uninstalling both copys of opera and reinstalling just one and i still get the same error. Anyone have any ideas?? Any help is much appreciated.

EDIT: Reward for whoever helps me figure this shit out. lol (nps or lpc)

Have you checked out this link: http://www.opera.com...earch/view/623/

Since you already uninstalled it, why don't you go ahead and completely remove it from your computer smile.gif.

OK I have a thought......close all your Opear browsers. click CTRL/ALT/DEL. GO TO PROCESSES. IF YOU SEE OPERA.EXE STILL THERE AFTER YOU CLOSE ALL WINDOWS, KILL THE PROCESS BY CLICKING ON END PROCESS. GIVE THIS A SHOT.
Sounds like the process is still active.

You probably thought of this but it's worth mentioning just in case: some DLLs get locked and Task Manager can't help, so if you didn't reboot during the whole process, do that.

Another thing to try if this wasn't already part of your uninstall process: uninstall, then to go your Documents and Settings directory in the root of your disk, then go into the directory that matches your username. There's 2 hidden directories there, Application Data and Local Settings. They both contain an Opera directory, delete those Opera directories and try again. Make sure the operadef6.ini file is gone too.

If that does no good, do another install, edit operadef6.ini, and change the setting "Multi User=1" to 0.
