Damn that's expensive... can't you sue the dentist for pulling that kind of bs? I got pretty lucky with my teeth even though my parents teeth totally suck, and they also pay a crapload of money to the dentist. Anyways goodluck paying off your medical bill 1we8.gif

Haha. She hustled you xD. I'm still 18 but just recently got two wisdoms out. The first one didn't stop bleeding for days, I woke up with my bed sheets red sad.gif. The reason for it was because when they tried to pull out my wisdom, the root got stuck so they had to dig deeper to take it out grrr. It was pretty painful because I guess the numbness didn't reach that far down 1we8.gif.

My second one didn't bleed that much but it swelled up pretty bad xD. I looked like a chipmunk xD. I could barely eat anything because I could barely open my mouth. It lasted for over a week grr. The bump is still there too but my dentist said it will take weeks for it to go down sad.gif. But at least I didn't have to pay anything... or at least until next month when I go to college 1we8.gif. Enjoying the "parents paying for everything" phase for now xD.

dental work is expensive!

I had a root canal done back in feburary, and even with the insurance, we still had to pay 2 grand. It was worth it, but really... it was $800 for the new tooth

military is paying for my wisdom teeth to be removed (if needed)

Don't forget to brush your teeth tonight thumbsup.gif

anything can happen, I guess. It just seems to happen more often when you have a parent who won't take you to the dentist happy.gif

Yeah I had all 4 wisdom teeth out a couple years ago, bottom 2 were impacted making it more expensive. Had to pay $3500 for those to be taken out.

And I wasn't hustled, she just did a shit job.

The second guy was fantastic though, went through everything with me, explained what needed to be done, how to get help paying for it and just overall brilliant. Still cost a bucketload sad.gif

And I'm not going to sue tongue.gif NZ avoids suing as often as possible and it's rare that it's needed because of government schemes paying for injuries and accidents most of the time.

my wisdom teeth are just starting to come through... at least the tops are. the bottom ones haven't broken through the gums yet. She might have done a shit job, but atleast she didn't pull out a tooth that was perfectly fine tongue.gif

reminds me of a story i read where a guy had cancer in his left leg and the doctors were going to remove it. He wakes up to find his right leg gone. Sad stuff right there.

Mmm, they have a lot of double/triple/quadruple checks now to make sure that kind of thing doesn't happen, but it's a scary thought. You put so much faith into your doctors hands when you're knocked out.

I've only been completly knocked out once. And if that's what it's like when I die, I'm ready for it. I don't remember a single thing lol

Did you ever see a movie called Awake? Where the guy gets surgery but his mind stays awake, so he can't move but can hear what the doctors are saying? And they plan to kill him to get money or something (i didn't watch it all)

Dentists scare me more though... I love my teeth biggrin.gif

it's not the drug amount though. There is an actaul disorder or whatever that like 10 in every million or so sufferes... and it's where the mind just doesn't sleep through something like that.

That would suck so bad.

Yeh, dentists are probably the most expensive of all doctors and like, u'll be paying so much more for a visit to the dentist than any other doctor. What sucks even more is that most health insurances don't cover dental care.

That is true. Or if it does cover it, it costs more to have it. Which is stupid. You would think people would mess up their body more than their teeth. So medical would be a little bit more than dental. But no. A cleaning for your teeth is easily $200

Yeh and tbh i really dont get why. Isnt the body like way more sensitive aaand requires like more care? I mean if you brush your teeth 2-3 times a day and use mouth-wash you would pretty much never need to visit the dentist, other than if you need braces or something. But i mean you can catch a cold any time of the year... or break a bone. I mean insurance would cover that... but no not dental care. Dont get it lol

It's only 16 in the UK if you don't continue with full-time education. I got free dental check-ups unti lI was 18, I'm lucky though, they've never had to do anything to my teeth anyways.

Aside from her missing tooth her teeth look fine, I mean they aren't black or anything tongue.gif.

Amy Winehouse is just a mess though anyway, hardly the best example to represent English teeth tongue.gif.

I would love nothing more than amy winehouse to catch aids, get set on fire and raped by a hobo all with in one hour 1we8.gif

Cant stand her, terrible role model on kids, but she thinks she is 1we8.gif

I'm seeing all these things about free care and stuff till you are 16, 18 or whatever. Is that really true? America has nothing like that. (or if they do I don't know about it)
