Pfft... It's not the same, well maybe it is but you should be fine as long as you don't download 5gb of music at a time.

Just because you don't get caught doesn't make it any less illegal.

You should feel uncomfortable. You are a thief.

Stop trying to justify it. When it comes down to it, you're breaking the law.
You are never safe when pirating music, and there is always a chance that you will get caught.
That said, Yarrrr.

I don't feel in the slightest bit guilty about doing it. I get charged obscene amunts of money to go to the cinema every week so I see it as getting the most out of my money.
Also....are you saying you are not a Pirate Cory?

You may not feel guilty, but you're still a thief.

X2
$15 for 15 songs for a cd. I have like 800 on my mp3.
800/15=53
53*15=$800
Plus there are always a couple "skip" songs on the cd.

Thats how it's done son.
but getting to the question... If it a group/person that i would pay tickets to see them live. then i will usually buy the album to support them. If it's a radio song or some random group/song i hear for the first time, i usually download that particular song.

It's quite galling to see multi-millionaires like Metallica whining about not getting a few dollars here and there. They miss the point that people sharing music is how many people get into bands and end up buying their stuff. My dad bought everything Metallica ever made, but if he hadn't been given 'illegal' copies of their stuff when he was a teenager in the 1980s, he'd never have got into them and wouldn't have been paying for their stuff when he grew up and had money.
Oops I just thought...if freakout's secretly an RIAA spy who made this thread to get a list of pirates, we're all in the doo-doo.
