So the summer is over, and I was wondering how everyone's was?
What did you learn about yourself, or do that really made it outstanding?

I made some new friends and became really close with them, and realized how soon someone can leave you be it by dying or stopping contact. I also figured out that being relaxed just helps everything and makes you happier.

My summers been great we recently just bought a boat and have been doing lots of waterskiing.

Ends on Tuesday. I've been having a very chill summer. Tomorrow I'm going to rave my ass off... and then once school starts I'm going to be SWAMPED with homework.

I've met a couple of unlikely friends. And the funny part is that even they are completely ridiculous people, they actually have insight on life. Instead of the usual stoner/party student at CSUN. They can actually think. Have spent many a night at the beach til 3 in the morning just talking about life, and what we want out of it.

Not to mention me and my buddy Mitch were sneaking around a private beach, and the beach patrol (security guy) rolled up in his pickup truck, and sat down to have a cigarette with us at 2 in the morning. Then politely asked us to gtfo.

Although I'm moved into college, summer hasn't ended quite yet. I've basically just been spending the remainder of it in New York City (classes start Tuesday). Anyway, this week has been full of booze and weed, so I would say I'd miss that but it's totally going to be there in school.

Spent many a lazy day on a lake. went to a state fair. Got intoxicated beyond belief. No hangovers. haha. But mostly I was working, stuck inside a cramped building, listening to loud machinery under louder music. My days wasted away like a river under a sun too bright. Too few clouds, too much a/c. Bleh.

Same here on those APs man, though I have 4, which ones are you taking?
I have AP Computer Science (Java Programming), AP US History, AP English Language, and AP Physics.

I know what you mean. A friend and I sat on a rock in the middle of a stream last week and just talked about the summer and what happened to us over teh last few years and stuff. I love those conversations.

At the prodding of someone I wrote this thing about summer, I don't like it so much but I guess I'll share:

The Summer is perceived differently through the eyes of a teenager. It provides an escape from reality and responsibility when you and your friends can relax and have fun. For once no one cares what your grades are, or what's on your resume. It's about having fun, and making memories. Some people tell you it's wasted time, but those people just aren't thinking back to their youth. In a few years we will look back and remember all the amazing times we had together, and wish that maybe just for a day, we could once again sit in someone's backyard and talk like we had, because that was when we were truly enjoying our lives.

This summer was pretty much the worst summer I've had in a while. I hung out with the same 4/5 people the whole summer, and didn't do much.

Well with 2 days of summer left I think it's safe to say I have accomplished virtually nothing and won't be accomplishing anything meaningful by summers end . Only good thing is that I made it through another 2 months, 10 more months and I graduate from high school and then move out .
