Well... I've never met any bitchy Stephanies and I think it's generally a nice girl name. My sister's name is Jennifer and that one can really go both ways. Heather's a hit and miss as well.

Now there are several names that ALWAYS are bitchy. If their name is Britney they're going to be a brat and someone you're going to want to avoid. Typically the same with Justine and Mariah. Simple as that. I've only met nice Alexandras...

It says a lot about the parents and how they're naming their kids with how they're going to raise them, you know? Typically kids who are named Britney are going to be born to a somewhat rich family or if not their mother is going to act like their best friend and make them a brat anyways who thinks they can get what they want :\

My name is just plain old Jessica. Usually crazy names only make me think "what the hell were his/her parents thinking". When I was in fourth grade there was a kid in my class named Ponyboy, but surprisingly, no one made fun of him really. We all just assumed his mom was obsessed with the outsiders =/ And one of my boyfriends distant relatives name is Thunderhawk... not joking. I don't know what possesses parents to name their kids something so retarded.

Not saying that your not nice (cause you've been nice to me so far) but there is a Stephanie that I know, and I hate her to pieces. Hearing that name always makes me think about her. Its so weird that you do associate names with people that have been kind, mean, bitchy, rude, and sweet.

Out of curiosity is anyone else known by their last name?
Lots of my guy friends, and kids from school call me by my last name.

Since my last name can be a spanish first name I sometimes get called it by ppl in the spanish crowd and usually some teachers. Not really known for it though.

When your real name is Vitalis, anything is possible. happy.gif Rather annoying when every teacher in your school mispronounces it during attendance. tongue.gif My last name only has two letters in it, which is pretty cool I guess? tongue.gif

I don't know what impression Alex brings. There's enough Alex's where I live where some are assholes, some are nice, some are anti-social, etc. It's just a mix because it's so common. tongue.gif

A name is just a name. It doesn't mean shit to me. I'd rather have a different name, maybe something funky and Persian sounding or something Greek, but I care too little to want to actually change it.

Well my first name is Laura, but in the south we use two names, so a lot of people know me by my nickname of Laura Lee (first and middle), and then there are nicknames coming from that like LL, L squared, Double L, etc. And then I have random nicknames like hyphie, ducky, etc that have long stories behind them that only certain people use lol. I like my name[s] overall tho. I don't think Laura has any stereotypes attached to it like brittney or jessica
