But at least that does not make a person a liar, unless they pass it off as real. Or are people with fake alterations to themselves that was not for reconstructive purposes (burn victim, saw throwing accident) deceptive or just stretching the truth a little.

Check for agreement:

The word 'they' can be used in reference to a single person.

OH NOES. SOMEONE'S GRAMMAR WASN'T PERFECT.

HOW WILL WE SURVIVE!?!?!?

Must admit, I do grammar whore some people, but they have to deserve a special place in my heart first happy.gif.

Anyways, can't think of anything I have that's a fake something, there's probably stuff I own that's imitating something made by a much bigger brand and I'm not even aware of it, but I can't think of anything obviously fake. I guess some of my jewellery looks like it'll be gold/silver and it's not? But it's just cheap jewellery, it's not trying to be gold/silver really tongue.gif.

Nope, according to agreement rules, "they" is plural. Therefore, "he" or "she" should be used.

Oh sorry, I meant for people who aren't huge douche-bags. smile.gif

QUOTE (Wikipedia)
Usage

The "singular" they is the use of this pronoun, where they is used as a gender-neutral singular rather than plural pronoun. The correctness of this usage is disputed.

Check it out here if you like.

Edit: This might have come off harsher than I meant it. I don't really know how to change it so that the message remains intact though so I guess this is just a disclaimer.
