Quick update.
Smoked a cig today. Only one though. Haven't had the urge to smoke more though. smile.gif
Kinda feel good about that, even though I did smoke 1. 1 over the course of 3 days isn't bad.
And yes, I agree. Smoking weed and drinking are both horrible triggers. :\

When my friend quit she found that smoking blunts instead of a bowl or bong would help her cravings. She would still want one but i would start talking stupid shit to get her mind off of it....shes now quit for almost 2 years and does not have even the slightest craving for them anymore even when she drinks.

It would DEF be a good idea to have a bunch of support, she was a fuckin bitch for the 1st 2 weeks she quit but me and a few of my other friends kept giving her support to not have one and she did it so i woudl say get your friends to support you instead of supporting the habit.

Well here is My Second guess

Smoking Weed Wich greatly incarcerates your brain to release more oxygen to your lungs...i would say smoke weed then smoke ur cig...with that combo u wont be need a cig for a lil bit...i know i smoke at least a half a pack a day...cause i keep my self buys...like when i clean the house i wont smoke until i am complete done...wich is its liek a 1-2 hr job..(depending on how good u want it clean)..specially if u smoke menthol...since menthol has fiberglass in it...and its a lil bit strong then a full flavor you wont smoke as much..i think that would help ya...cause after i switched to menthol i didnt smoke as much.....i know been trying to quit for yrs now...but i think i am at the point..where i can handle the cravings when i dont got any smile.gif so i dont know how this is gonna help but i fig i throw it at ya

I went all day without a cigarette yesterday. I haven't smoked one today. Yet. Who knows?

Tomorrow will be day 3. I will report on any cheating that I do etc.
Any ideas on helping me last longer? Things to avoid doing?
I'm kinda starting this up right now to take my mind off my crazy nicotine cravings.

By the way, I don't consider smoking cigars cheating. tongue.gif

Comments? Concerns? Drop a line in this thread. wink.gif

Um don't make threads about it.
Don't talk about it.
Don't think about it.
Don't count days.
Make it a nonissue.

I'll smoke a nice delicious nicotine menthol cigarette in your cause. Nicotine gum doesn't help. I heard the patch does work.

I actually just quit, cold turkey 4 days ago.

Reason? None whatsoever. Other than I realized how many I was having a day, and then said fuck that shit =]

I know, get your cigs and throw them in a fire and walk away from the fire. Then write on your forehead, don't sell my cigarettes. Possibly even lock your wallet in something and give someone close your key. That way you have no way of getting cigs smile.gif

Step 1: Stop smoking cigarettes
Step 2: Smoke weed all day, everyday
Step 3: Enjoy! smile.gif

Then you've got the problem of being a lazy shit. Not too mention that it's expensive to maintain that tongue.gif

Meh, you just have to stay focused on what you need to accomplish when you're high smile.gif. Btw, smoking all day everyday for me has costed around $25/week, so yeah it does add up 1we8.gif

Nah, you're just going to be a lazy shit with weed. Smoking all day every day only costs you $25 a week? Lucky...

That would last me roughly a week lol

And its actually pretty stupid to smoke weed when you're trying to quit cigarettes.
When you're high or drunk you usually stop caring that you quit and end up smoking a cigarette if your friend has one lol

Anyone who's telling him to replace cigarettes with another drug simply fails. The best thing to do when you wanna stop something is cold turkey. No alchohol, no weed, try to exercise, practice your favourite hobby, just enjoy life without cigarettes. Alright, it might not be that easy.. but anything is possible.

And the reason why no alchohol or weed is because you might be more likely to crave while unda dee influawnce!

Haha, ya, Quil is right! I wouldn't really consider this grave digging, but my apologies if some think so.
How often do you see someone comeback to a 2 year old thread and leave updates though? Haha, never!

t0mt3hnub, I have a feeling I won't be able to quit until I'm out of University. Luckily I only have 1 year left so.... soon!
