The first post to this topic by Josh was deleted, here is the copy below.
Sida did NOT make this program. Please remember that.

Description:
* Kadoatie Feeder *

Download Link: http://www.neocodex....load-10610.html

Program Name: Kadoatie Feeder
Program Author: Josh
Program Version: 1.0.0 BETA
Security Status: Safe

Program Description:
This program will automatically detect hungry Kadoaties, purchase the necessary item, and feed it to the Kadoatie thus contributing to your overall number of fed Kadoaties. Various options allow customizing this process and the application is multi-account friendly.

Requirements:

* Latest version of Java
* A Neopets account

Program Walkthrough:

* Login to CodexChecks with your Neocodex account details
* Right click on the white space of the table and click "Add Account"
* Enter in your Neopets username and password when asked
* The status of the login will appear under "Status" next to your username in the table
* If the login fails it will provide details as to why it failed and you will need to repeat the above steps again
* Select (highlight) the row with your username in it on the table (make sure it's highlighted!)
* Right click on the now highlighted row and click "Options.."
* Fill out the appropriate options. Refer to explanation of options below for more details.
* Click "Save Options" once the options have been configured. If you exit the window without pressing "Save Options" the options will not be saved!
* Back on the main form right click the selected row again. Select "Start Feeding". The program will now begin the process of checking for hungry Kadoaties and feeding them. To stop the program simply right click and select "Stop Feeding".
* You may also right click and select "Master Log" for details on the accounts progress.
* You may also repeat all the above steps for another account (which will run separate to any other accounts also running)

Explanation of options:

* Refresh Times: The minimum and maximum refresh times (in minutes) when refreshing the Kadoatie page and checking for Kadoaties. The default settings are suggested but refer to the security logs for further evaluation.
* Wait after successful feed: The time to wait after a Kadoatie was successfully fed. Notice that you must wait a mandatory 28 minutes before attempting to feed another Kadoatie or it will fail. Default settings are suggested.
* Number of times to price item with shop wizard: The number of times an item should be researched before being bought. Note that the more times an item's price is checked, the longer the feeding process takes and thus the more you risk missing the Kadoatie. On the other hand the more times you check the price the better chance you have at getting the item at a much cheaper price.
* Stop after x many Kadoaties have been fed: Self-explanatory.
* Stop after x amount of neopoints have been spent: Self-explanatory.
* Maximum price of item to be fed: The maximum price (in NPS) the item to be fed can be. If this value was set to 10000 and an item appeared that after being checked with the shop wizard had a price of 11000, the item would not be bought and the Kadoatie would be skipped. Note that UB items are automatically skipped.
* If item bought but Kadoatie missed..: When a Kadoatie is missed the item bought to feed the Kadoatie still remains in your inventory. This can be a hassle sometimes and therefor you have the option of storing the item in your SDB or Shop instead of simply leaving it in your inventory. Refer to the master log for information on items that may have not been fed.

FAQ:
Is this program totally safe?
Is any program totally safe? The answer is simply no. There will always be a chance of any program getting you frozen. However there are certain levels of safety for each program. This program happens to be very safe. Always refer to the security status of the program in the beginning of the post and the security logs towards the end for more information.

How effective is this program?
Very. Since the entire process of buying an item and feeding it to the Kadoatie hardly takes seconds it is much faster than humanly possible and therefor greatly increases your chances of successfully feeding a Kadoatie.

Why should I use this program?
Many want the avatar and gold trophy associated with feeding a certain number of Kadoaties and this program greatly simplifies that process.

Security Log
CODE
[Wed Oct. 8] Ran program for 9 hours straight at 1 minute refresh intervals. No freezing.
[Thurs Oct. 9] Ran program for 7 hours, then 10 hours, both at 1-3 minute refresh intervals. No freezing.
[Fri Oct. 10] Ran program for 9 hours at 1-3 minute refresh intervals. No freezing.
[Sat Oct. 11] Ran program for 5 hours at 1-3 minute refresh intervals. No freezing.

Conclusion:
Since the same account was used for all tests, and has yet to be frozen, this program is very safe.

From what she was telling me when I was planning on making one, there's a pattern to restock times. There will be a minimum of 28 minutes between restocks, and if it hasn't happened after 28 minutes there will be further minimum intervals of 7 minutes until the restock. This doesn't count for minis though.

I'm guessing I will get better results if I try this on a PC instead of my Mac..

Ah ok, well if it does make it easier to program then refreshing every minute at 2 seconds past after the 28 minutes is fine. And yeah, if there's more than 5 hungry at once, it's a main restock. I've never seen a mini with more than 3 kads.

Refreshing every minute won't be more effective because between the time it refreshed (at the 28 minute mark) and 7 minutes later, refreshing is pointless because a restock won't have happened. It will restock either on the 28 minute mark after it last restocked, or 35 minutes, or 42 minutes after the last restock. It will not restock at say 30 mins after the last restock, or 38 mins after, etc. Only 28, 35, or 42.

(I'm fairly sure by 42 mins there will have been a restock, I don't think there's ever been a gap of 49 minutes between restocks but I could be wrong)

Well the longest I've personally seen has been like 2 hours (In the 7 minute intervals of course). blink.gif ... But that doesn't happen often... And besides there was a glitched kad there too. So tongue.gif

BTW thanks Josh... I've been waiting for one of these. Thanks a lot!

Well been running it for 3 hours+ while I was watching a movie... With suggested settings... And have 1 attempted feed and it was a fail? So I don't recommend the suggested settings...

Do you think you could add an option of .0m? Because 1 minute isn't cutting it.

the program hasn't exactly run smoothly for me...
it has given me two feeds however
the first feed showed in the master log but not on the programs main page
the second feed showed on the main page
and now i dont think the program is working at all because when i log in, it doesn't even try to search the shop wizard for the ub items the kads are asking for (it did this before and always showed on the log... eg attempting to buy snow kabob, snow kabob unbuyable

Hi, I'm using this program but I found some things that doesn't works.
1. I cannot save my login.
2. It doesn't make pauses after feeding, after a random time it starts to work blink.gif
3. Today it doesn't work at all. It goes to the kadoatery page but it doesn't search the foods. I think that's something wrong because it doesn't make the master log.
With this prog I've already fed 8 kads, today I really don't know what happened sad.gif
Is there something I can do?

After it feeds it doesn't start up again for 28 mins because that's the minimum time before it's possible for another rs.

Remember it's beta so it's not going to have everything like saved login details.

Maybe I don't write well sorry, what I want to say is that the program don't make pauses after a fed, after a bit it start to refresh.
Sorry for my english happy.gif"

You know you don't have to keep what you've written down. You can press backspace and rewrite stuff.

Yes you need java installed.

Yes, I know. But I'm lazy. I will in the future though. Any specific version I need though(of java)? And thanks for the quick response smile.gif
