I'm pulling my hair out trying to find an easy way to turn a scanned image into a word document. So I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out. I just need you to post the document here so I can edit it my self. Here's the picture file:
http://img523.images...scan0006rn0.jpg

Thanks in advance biggrin.gif

Indeed, I recall you doing the same thing. Or was that someone else?

It's on a white background man. Paint > white paint brush (biggest square) > cover parts you want to edit > type tool > done.

You're gonna have to be a little more specific.

What are you trying to change?

I would recommend using photoshop instead of putting it into word, you can get more realistic results if you do it well. I once forged an invoice so I could return my mp3 player for repair after it was out of warranty and it worked fine. tongue.gif

Then use something like Paint.NET or GIMP.

Just download some free editing program and paint over the text you want to replace with a white brush. You won't be able to tell because the background's black. All you gotta do then is match the font and type away.

Ey Redlion, what happened to that science vs religion topic? Was just about to read that x.x

...Step one: Get a clear scan that doesn't look photocopied?
Not to be extremely rude or anything, but your scan's quality is so shitty that it'd probably never pass off as a real report card blink.gif

But anyway, if you're trying to convert an image into a word document, you could try converting it to PDF format first, then converting the PDF to DOC.

Although, like everyone else suggested, I'd just use Photoshop.

In Elementary school, kids were paying me $5 to change their report cards, and I used paint. You couldn't tell the difference.

Ye I did this a couple times in gr.11 to edit out the number of lates and absences I had. I'd recommend using a better scanner cuz when you print it, the lines will probably look faded. And ye, I used ps too.

The important thing is to keep the image as high quality as possible and try to use a high quality printer.

Personally I'd recreate the document so there's no issues with it looking scanned.

But then I've never had to alter my report card.

Hah no. While yes I had good marks in most areas, if I wasn't doing well at something, I didn't try and hide that fact. I accept I have weaknesses and strengths. My parents didn't expect me to be perfect.
