I believe in God but not in the religions, I mean everything had to originate from something...
But none of the bible stuff or whatever other sources there are!
You believe in God, because everything 'had to originate from something', BUT you don't believe in the bible or whatever other sources God originated from.
Very interesting.

There seems to be two different views:
(1) people who assume that god doesn't exist because there is no proof that he exists.
(2) people who won't assume that god doesn't exist without proof that he doesn't exist.
I'm not much of a logician, so I can't figure out what's wrong with the second view, even though it doesn't seem right. After all, how do you prove that god doesn't exist? But people holding the second view are not assuming that god exists either, so it
Apply that second view to the following statement:
If one were to hold that second view to this, they would be unable to deny the existence of the pink dragon, or anything else I decided to think up in its place. It's quite obvious why this would be a problem. It isn't how scientific discourse works. (I suggest reading up on 'Russels Tea Pot' for a thorough explanation)There is an invisible pink dragon in your room right now.
You seem also to have set up a false dichotomy. Those certainly aren't the only two lines of thinking a person can follow. For example, how about:
"Withholding judgment on the existence or non-existence of a God without evidence."
I believe in God but not in the religions, I mean everything had to originate from something...
Says who?

And if you didn't understand, from the video, why your "everything needs an explanation, therefore god" nonsense is fallacious, then I think you might want to try watching it again.

I never said it was fullproof but it's just something hold on to until something is proven for certain by science.

It can't be foolproof [sic] because it doesn't say anything useful.I never said it was fullproof but it's just something hold on to until something is proven for certain by science.
It's utterly pointless.

Well sometimes that belief is what one lives for so it's not utterly pointless.

If your unshaking faith in Jesus is all you're living for, that's pathetic. And still pointless.Well sometimes that belief is what one lives for so it's not utterly pointless.

One wonders whether you agree with the sentiment, or just laugh at it..."As a Republican Christian, I believe that scientific facts are optional and completely negated by my convenience, slogans or hunches. As such, I refuse to acknowledge Evolution. But my attempts to ignore this scientific theory seem so halfhearted compared to the efforts of the more industrious Sarah Palin. Sarah not only denies Evolution, she has refused to evolve. That, my friends, is dedication!" - Betty Bowers
