Well I thought I would write about my job as working on the rides at Legoland Windsor and wrote this ask me questions anything any inside information or anything I will answer tongue.gif

Well about me.....I Live in the UK and word at Legoland Windsor, I have just started my 2nd season and work on the rides operating the rides at the bottom of the ride including biggest one the Jungle Coaster. I am also one of about 5 people that are harness trained for it and yes I have had to evacuate the ride before which is fun! The ride always 'brakes down' due to the new cars on there. You also get lots of complains because of new height restrictions like max of 2 adults per car and max of 2 people over 1.4m per car which most kids that go there are. To be honest I love the complaints, guests complain because they queued over 1 hour and half - 2 hours and half to be turned away because their kids are under 0.9m. Try talking to them tongue.gif Rides break down regular always rides going down for some reason around the park I have been operating many when they have but nothing serious that has harmed any guests so far, but has been near misses. Overall the job is really fun because of your messing about with your own staff members and just being silly for the kids, staff members are normally in their late teens so we all go out clubbing together every Tuesday night fortnightly and don't get in until 3 am then getting up at 7am for work the next day which is fun. Only downside to job was the pay was alright it was £5.60 but half way through the season went up to £5.65 now this season i'm on £5.85 which is a big step up. Some rides are really boring to work on once you have been there a while and some guests can be just plain stupid and try out smart you all the time when they still know they are wrong. No physical violence this season but there has been in the past towards staff but have had lots of people shouting at you but I love it smile.gif Bring it on!

Pay is good for how flexible the hours/days are as it is fully flexible and you get a Merlin pass which is 20 tickets to whatever Merlin attraction but each season you get a pay rise and it is kinda easy to move up the ranks too.

The interview's are harder this season before it was interview then your hired but now there are 2 steps, one where you have to do group tasks then your interview as they are getting harder on the standards. Lots of staff wasn't allowed to come back so they can employ better staff which sucks dry.gif

Yeah 5.85 is not too bad. Jobs are hard to find at the moment as well so I would say you have a good fun job there.

Do they still have the dragon rollercoaster? I was forced on to that when I was a kid and I hated every second of it. Took my goddaughter a few years back and realised how incredibly pathetic it is.

I still have my legoland driving license somewhere. happy.gif

I'm not shit I just operate them rolleyes.gif The maintenance team there are very good but Legoland won't put money back into the rides only new rides so they have to always mainly temp fix them. As soon as a ride breaks down you know whats wrong with it because it's the same thing over and over again.
