What do you think that the member system should be? I mean, I'm going to be glad once I become an advanced member because it'll just make me feel like I'm part of the community more here. I feel like I've been here to long and even though I don't post as much as some to be just a member.

Yeah, I agree. I joined for Neopets info and programs. I'm not really interested in the other fora. The inactivity here makes it hard to accumulate meaningful posts.

I agree as well. Plus I always end up arguing with people.

I kinda like advanced and kinda don't. For example: ABers and LC/MP answers should not be given to the public but it's too exclusive in private.
But apart from that, it's pretty much pointless.

Then everything should be dropped from advance to member level apart from those.

And for the love of god, someone needs to write some more programs!

I might be able to help out with that soon. I know a few people and I've been looking into this stuff myself. I'll probably suck though which is why I'm reading up on it and examining it first.

I've sort of thrown out the idea of me making private. Based simply on the fact I'd need 3 posts per day, certainly not an easy task given the lack of activity. Moaning about it won't fix it though... there's got to be a better way to bring in fresh meat and give the forum as a whole a kickstart.

There have been days that I don't get 3 posts per day and that's for sure not my average. My average is below 1 post per day and I'm still advanced as of today.

You can be granted an exception to the 3 PPD rule so don't give up.

You should make the Autobuyers available after less posts, like 50 or 100, then people would post. It's too high now though, so I, and probably most people can't really be bothered trying hard.

I want to borrow BGC/MSPP and I want legit hard game avatars so it's why I join these kinda forums I used slopdog for that kinda stuff before since i'd been a member for 2 years but it got shut down and I rejoined neo so I came here. Slopdog I borrowed BGC for free but that was when it was 13mill.

So I as a new member wanna borrow junk/get game avatars, I don't use programs.

Since it takes so long to be able to borrow expensive stuff I come and post whenever I feel like trying to converse so my posts aren't spam.

The problem with allowing more and more people to access autobuyers - it ends up meaning there's more people using them. This is bad for three major reasons:
1) With more people ABing, there is less chance of success for everyone. Instead of getting say 5 items in an 2 hours period worth 20-50k each, you could potentially get say 3 worth 10-20k each. The more that have them, the harder it is for people to get items.
2) The more people abuse programs which would come if more had access, the higher the chance TNT will change something rendering that program useless/dangerous and needing an update which would take time.
3) This is a personal reason but I hope others see the point of it - neocodex prefers to take the stance of cheating the game, not the people (why we don't allow scamming and fake login pages, etc). While ABing is still cheating the game, it does in fact make it significantly harder for legit players to get ahead. Not impossible, but harder. Then more cheaters, the harder it is for legit players. There HAS to be a balance.

That's a whole lot of bullshit.

The only reason we don't release Autobuyers to the public is because we don't have active programmers making anything. The only incentive for new members is 'reaching Advanced Member' so they can use the Autobuyers. If we got rid of those, we wouldn't have anything available for higher members that's not more easily accessible on other forums.

Sorry to have to completely disagree with you, but no, it's not bullshit. Josh released an AB recently, he chose where to put it and it wasn't public, and as a general rule mABs aren't going to the public because of the reasons I've mentioned. Why do you think that in our whole history no mAB is public? Even when we had a very active programming area.

Don't just spout shit because you don't agree. Your lack of understand is astounding.

Not getting in the middle of this because I agee with you but how come there is a mAB in the members section? Does it need to be moved or is there something wrong?...just a tad confused.
