Where is everybody that used to be so active in the neopets section? I see that Kitsune has never left but everybody else is either new and I'm un-aware of who they are or they rarely post in here (noit). This place used to be so active and fun. We need to get the neopets section back up. I know I was gone for awhile but now that I'm back I miss how fun this section used to be.

Yea, I think we need a new achievement or goal for the newer members. I've been here for quite some time and I'm still not an advanced member. I don't think neopets sucks dick though. I do think that TnT sucks dick though. They freeze you for no reason and make the game hard to play.

New members want programs.
We don't have programs.
The only good thing we have is the LC/MP answers, but chances are no one is going to take THAT much time to post when it's so much easier to get them elsewhere for paying.

we've got ideas up to the eyeballs but nobody to implement the fuckers. relying on posting alone obviously dont work.

Isn't there a way we could all get together and come up with some new things? This topic here alone shows that we have at least 3 members that skim through this section. We have to find a way to lure people in and keep them here. I know I didn't come to this site for programs. I came to it for the neopets section because it was active and sometimes I'd have questions or need help. Theres got to be a way to get more programmers as well. Then we'd have more members alltogether.

Hopefully something can be done or I can see Codex slowly dying. Didn't someone (maybe an admin) say recently that there were plans in the pipeline but it would not be until summer that they could be realistically implemented?

I know what those plans are and I actually believe they're on to something this time.

I remember saying that when I was on staff.

I remember hearing others say it way before I was on staff.

It won't happen. If it does it will be a very short fix.

I was thinking about starting to play again as well so I might be a bit more active, maybe start programming again.. wanted to stay legit this time though lol

Honestly, I used to cheat on Neopets to sell the NP for cash.
And that worked for me through like 9-13 because I didn't need alot of money and enjoyed the game.
I can make more money by actually working now.

So essentially, that was all the fun taken from me.
The only reason I stay here is for the people.

How about you let the community in on it. Otherwise it's just speculation between the two SMods and the inactive rest of the staff.

Maybe that's a good idea. Maybe if the regular members of this site had some input it could help inform the mods etc. the main reasons members aren't staying etc. It could really help the administrative team get a grasp on the problem and hopefully try to fix it.

That's great, that's another well known member that can help get this more active. You can be legit this time and try programming at the same time. Just because you make the programs doesn't mean you have to use them. I'm legit and if I could program I'd do it just to get more members hopefully involved.



I just see other forums and stuff about how there are so many users that they always know when Turmy is awake and special events like that. That shows that they are all active and helping eachother. If we had that here then people would be more willing to stick around. I try to post things like this but I only have time when I'm not at work etc. It's hard because most of the people here do have jobs and things like that. That's the main reason we need a plan to get more members.

Yeah thats true. I know I use to go to some just for the LC or mystery pic answer. So maybe we had some smart/fast people like that more people would come.

We have neoalerts for that stuff No need to make a topic about something that anyone who has the alert set up should already know about. And if you don't have an alert for it set up, then you either don't care about it, or you didn't know it was there.

Yeah, I agree. I joined for Neopets info and programs. I'm not really interested in the other fora. The inactivity here makes it hard to accumulate meaningful posts.

yeah so maybe some of the "advanced" member benefits should be temp member ones to draw more people. Or this site could just be like most others and say like oh you need 10 posts to download this program 20 to download this program etc.

We tried that a while ago with 5 (possibly 10?) posts to download member programs. The daily spam we received was incredible.
