Hmmm...I'm thinking of adding an auto-updater to the beta, since I have discontinued the updating of 4.6.3, and people use such old ones.

Stick to the new one and you'll always be safest.

Does this mean the 4.6.3 does not work anymore?

It works but the problem is that 4.6.3 is outdated and not as safe as it used to be (if it is safe at all). With how long it has been since 4.6.3 was released, I would rather use the newest build available (even if it means beta+bugs when you are messing with something this risky).

Right now: 4.6.3 < build 250 (latest beta)

i downloaded the sLaugher Score Sender bur when i tryed to open it i got an error "Component: MSINET:OCX" or one of his dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid. long time ago i registered some ocx file to make a similar program work but right now i dont remember. Can somebody please help me? i tryed reading some comments and browsing other threads but no luck...

i googled it downloaded and put it in the neocodex folder were i have all the programs and didnt worked and also moved it to the system32 folder and neither.. same error

Is the Scoresender in the Neocodex folder? I would assume so but maybe you put it somewhere else.

Well, the SS isn't a codex program, it's from an external site, but it should work regardless as long as you installed it in that folder, which means I might have to dig through the thread for a solution to the problem.

How Do I Use the Score Sender?

First off, you're going to need the VB6runtime files and a standard assortment of .ocx files and the like, so I suggest sticking the Score Sender program in the same folder as the rest of your NeoCodex programs. I can't remember the odd files that were needed to runthis program specifically, but you should be able to find them and slap them into the folder, right?

Wait, so you have the Score Sender in a folder, it says there are missing ocx files, so you downloaded them and put them in the same folder the Score Sender .exe file is in, yet it still doesn't work? Odd, works for me, and I'm using Vista myself.

The extra required files are:
COMCTL32.OCX
MSINET.OCX
MSWINSCK.OCX
prjChameleon.ocx

One of those aren't needed in the latest version but it doesn't hurt to download them all just in case. My Score Sender files are in a completely different directory from Neocodex and it works completely fine without problems. Please make sure you have the exact files in the same folder as the ScoreSender.exe

If it is missing a ocx file, you will have to download it from somewhere. I just googled and got mine from a site that somehow has a large collection of ocx files. Just download the file, run it again, download the next, and so on. I think there are 3 (maybe 4) extra files and they all go in the same folder as the SS.

I kept getting a similiar error, and realised their are other files you need, not just the VB6 runtime ones..

These are the others I downloaded, you can just search for them in google and put them in your system32 folder.

Then I think it should work.

I was missing a .ocx file - when I downloaded the missing one, it told me to put it in the system32 folder. Program worked fine after that. Go to where you downloaded the file and see where they tell you to place it.

Can I ask what you did (and/or what thread it was in)? I'm having the same problem. yes I downloaded all the files, yes I threw them in the same folder. =\ *is clearly dumb*

Okay nvm I got it. I just manually downloaded all the *.ocx files, which I think are the only ones is uses. Would anyone want a zip of them? I'll give the names at least.

Registering the file isn't necessary but go ahead and register the file(s) if you want to. I personally don't think it is worth registering files manually especially when it involves the OS which will include possible unnecessary risk.

Majority of the users had no problems without registering the file(s) but there were a few people that needed to register for the file(s) to be found by the SS.

When I double click the score sender file nothing happens.

I don't think it's a problem with missing files, it just simply will not open or even load. There is no error message at all. I have downloaded the missing files and put them in the correct folder just in case.

try running on windows 98 compatibility , give that a try.
maybe it only works for english language too, i'm not sure. so try changing your language perhaps

i've got 3 files in my scoresending folder, scoresender.exe, flare.exe, and msinet.ocx
so you might be missing an ocx file

I have tried 95 & 98. Same problem occurs.
I am using English in Neopets, and I have no idea about the "VTR" thing:(

yeah i have no clue either...i think you should try deleting all the scoresending files and then redownloading one from the official website. there's definitely something weird about your SS which is causing it to have weird behaviors.
