I was just wondering if there is a plan in place to get the graphics section to be more active, as it is the least active portion of the site. I'm trying to get back into graphics, but downloading photoshop in a way where you do not need to pay for it is, for some odd reason, is difficult for my computer. Anyways, if there is no plan to get this section more active, I am volunteering myself to help in whatever way possible to get this section's activity up.

At the moment we are concentrating on Neopets. We have no plan right now to get the graphics section active as it is the least of our concerns .

Last that I knew, Ange wasn't Staff, but she still gets assigned tasks. Also, Sarah was just a filler, Tet was the only active leader. Besides Fox, but I wasn't really around for that.

I used to be most active in GFX because i was a photoshop fiend lol. I can help with sig requests and what not, maybe help draw more attention to the section. like help beginners with where to start, post links to certain tuts, and what not. Just some ideas, anyone feel free to join in. We can also talk about guild layouts/user lookups etc for neopets itself and not just art in the forum or non neopets arts or something (I saw someones pokemon art here which was good :] )

We're likely going to be moving the focus of graphics towards creating user shop lookup HTML, guild HTML, etc. We wil still have wigs and whatnot but I want the graphics team to do more concrete activities which directly benefit codex. We'll be introducing an incentive plan shortly.

Definitely. There are ways around that though .

We never tested it out. We'll see this time around. This will probably scare people from using it but we have our members showing off their skills in a gallery that's themed after the subject of this site. Kind of like deviant art.

I don't think Neopets goes around taking note of the graphics come from which websites and then ice. Hopefully we can get some testers. And I like the ideas floating around about how this will be done. Can't wait to test

Magma I think we'll have a leader in place by the end of this weekend. We'll have her in charge of everything as we're busy with other stuff.

And here I thought all along that because I had no artistic talent when it came to drawings that I would be no good at GFX... look at me being naive

I really don't think your comment has anything to do with this thread. It is about what is being done to get the graphics section active again, not what should be included in the graphics section. Take your pessimistic comments elsewhere. It's depressing.

well Chan, there is a reason the graphic section is called Graphics. Not just Art. We need a combination of both to be able to keep the section alive.

In terms of "Graphics", I've said this before, it refers to not just
photoshop, but basically every type of "Graphical" piece if you will. Meaning
that photoshop, is basically less than 10% of the equation.

You can even make "GFX" on other programs, or guess what? by hand.

in the graphic section is photoshop, and some stupid 3d model that you
refused to take criticism on because you "weren't finished" with
everything that was critiqued. Right now, you're in school
and still learning. (Hopefully) You'll come to the

See the point of shaping rags is that it's easier to read,
you completely missed the point hahaha. I think its hilarious that
you're in university and still take shit people say seriously.

The whole purpose of University is to broaden the mind. Shouldn't I take any comment seriously, if only with a grain of salt? After all, how am I going to progress in my learning if I assume every comment is said in a jocular fashion?
