The last time I heard about these kinds of stories, it involved a 13 year old boy and a 16 year old girl. The picture they provided of the boy holding his baby wasn't helping either, looked more like a 7 year old carrying his little baby brother.

I have no idea what to think, especially since it comes from News of the World, a tabloid site that likes to sensationalise on its stories. Not saying the story itself is false, but I'm hoping their relationship isn't as extreme as it's being made out to be.

Ah, yea. I think I know what you were saying...it was really weird.

It's just sad to see someone that young, who I guarantee cannot independently take care of a child, have a baby. But stuff like this happens!

her life her choice
if shes happy then YAY
I really doubt that an eleven year old could thoughtfully make that decision. Anyone really under 17-18, in my opinion, shouldn't (and can't) make the decision to have a baby. Don't get me wrong, sex is not a thing that shouldn't be enjoyed by everyone if they are mature enough to handle it. But babies are a different story.

We have what is allegedly "free" schooling in Australia, but I won't call it that because the only way to do well is toAnd let's not count in the fact that we've got free health care - and free schooling, too, which may explain that but still - while most of the western countries don't. (; Being uneducated is in no way the 'norm' in most Slavic countries.
a) shell out for a private school
b) shell out for a house where you can go to a good public school
c) shell out for tutors so they can make up for the huge class sizes and lack of personal attention in school
d) have money to send your kids on the pretty much manditory excurions.
"Free" is such a loose term...
Aaaamen. In my speech class this summer, I made a suggestion (in a class discussion, not a speech) that people must be tested and reach a certain IQ threshold in order to procreate.. I gave an example of a stupid, obese family in the Walmart parking lot (so surprising! ). The parents were waddling down the middle of the parkign lot aisle, you know, where cars drive, and their daughter was waddling behind them. Though i don't remember what they were talking about, it was clear neither of the parents even tried to graduate high school.. someone countered me, "Well, yes, while it seems good in theory to get rid of stupid people, who will dig the ditches? Who will make sandwiches?" etc. But the stupid people who go on welfare.. well.. that's another complaint..
They call that eugenics. Hitler dabbled in that once. So did the Canadians- See Leilani Muir. Her mother offloaded her into an asylum and agreed to have her sterilized- they claim she had a very low IQ, but she was well beyond the threshold for at the time was acceptable to sterilize asylum inmates. Decisions on sterilisations at the time were made by an unaccountable board who pretty much agreed to sterilise whoever they were approached to. She was never told until she tried to conceive. She paved the way for a lot more successful litigation against the Canadian government for the practice.
I don't know about the rest of the world, but in Australia a early 1990's court ruling held that a court could not legally sanction compulsory sterilization for people under 18, regardless of mental function. It's a contentious issue at best.
I hope the 19 year old gets jail. He deserves it.

Yep but the parents should have say no matter how old the kids are for the first marriage. That is how it is in our culture. Age doesn't matter. If the kid thinks their ready and the parents approve then go ahead. But in our culture parents support the kids for a long time even after they get a job and stuff. They are our role models.her life her choice

After the first marriage the kid should now have enough experience to make the next call themself. Unless the first marriage was ended due to immaturity.
I dont like to see people give this crap about 18. What the heck why not 17. Anyways long live neopets!

Gotta love content watching advertisement... "I Couldn't Get Pregnant For 9 Years Until I Found This Secret!"
haha, a young kid beat that old lady. :3.'
Younger girls are looking older nowadays, and grow faster, at this point i don't think being 11 and pregnant is exactly irrational.
