OMG, I hate the lines/surface/area part, and the graphs and stuff. Basic differentiation and integration is ok though.

I wonder why I chose an engineering course sometimes.

Math is the best! Calculus is easy, if you can't learn it, you're just not being taught right. I could teach you two semesters in two days. It's just the first step though. Once you get comfortable with it (not a hard thing to do... slopes and areas! O.O) it opens you up to learn all the interesting concepts like Fourier analysis.

I agree. Math is easy until you get to calculus...I blew my brains out trying to understand differentials and integrals...
As for Maths Nightmare....just SS it

Lol I like math, I had a calculus mid term this morning. Aced it =D but then again it's just the basic calculus stuff.

If I knew what I was encouraging when I made the first score sender I wouldn't have made it...

Thousands of frozen accounts later? We still love you for coming up with the concept.

I personally know that all the accounts I've had frozen for score sending were a by-product of personal greed... and every time I see an account float by that is brand new with 35 trophies... I just think "they're learning the hard way, the same way I did..."

If I had known you when I first discovered the concept of score sending and became addicted... I would have loved to have thanked you personally. You really opened up a new door to the casual cheater.

You reinvigorated my love of the site... always trying to be one step ahead of the ban hammer... Neopets is now more exciting than it was before... and I have you to thank for it.

On that note...

You know the only time I've ever had an account frozen is when I'm making a new score sender and that's usually only if it's from scratch. You can send scores responsibly and never get frozen. There are also things that EVERY score sender does that boosts the freeze rate up a lot. A 'cheater' is only as good as their tools. What hope have they got when first of all they are ignorant how to send scores properly and effectively when their programs are boosting the freeze rate to very detectable levels anyway :p It's like a kid trying to ride a bike with square wheels while pedaling in reverse.

I will say though your words have really warmed me up and you've made my night, thanks man :)

On-topic:
Anyone do much quaternion algebra? Maxwell's 4 circuit equations were originally 20 quaternion algebraic equations. If they just stayed in quaternion form we'd live in a better world. Yay for quaternions.

PS: For those of you who think calculus is tough DON'T, I repeat, DON'T bother with quaternions :p

That's concerned with graphing four dimensionally? I'm pretty sure you'd have to take a solid math course in uni to go that far. Highschool maths in NSW can only take you as far as the imaginary axis.

I know a lot of people struggle with these kind of math concepts because they try to understand it prior to actually learning and practicing it. When I didn't get something in X2 I just did a few questions, and the concept became that much clearer. I'm considering taking a math course in Uni since it really was the only subject in school that I found challenging. I wish I didn't drop X2 either :p Got 90/120 in the 2009 HSC exam (mate gave it to me after he sat it) with no study prior to the HSC, which would have done wonders for my ATAR.

SS ftw. It decorates my homepage with trophies.

I'm lucky I'm not a math major after what you said.

Ditto on both!

And I agree with what jcrboy said when saw the newbie account with 35 trophies. That's definitely suicide~~ Unnecessary abuse of the program and puts TNT on the watch out =(

I have yet to use a ss. I'm a bit scared to I guess. I could use some more trophies though. :(

Quiet correct you are. It's algebra that when graphed produces a line in which the gradient is the same at all points aka. a straight line :p

Oh no :( I'm taking a combined course of linear algebra and differential equations in the spring.. Calc 3 was fairly easy for me though. I hear you either love Linear OR Dif eq, NOT both. Hopefully I fall into "loving" at least one of them =\

I'm having a Math exam in a few days time. So scary. It sucks to go in and your mind goes blank. No formula = no marks for sure.
