which one is preferred? with reasons too.
i'm having trouble selling some items, even with really low prices. the problem is that theyre not in demand. so the question is, would it be worth it to put it on auction to risk having it sold for very low? i have never auctioned anything before, so just wondering if the risk is high or worth it, etc.

If they are low demand, chances are they won't sell in auctions either. Just put them up in TP for a really discounted price or something. Go to the trade and auctions board and advertise your items there. That's what I do with most of my items that I cannot sell...

Best thing to do with UBs you're not willing to dump for 99,999 is to stick them in a "For Sale" category in your gallery, so people can gallery search them and offer.

Yeah and just advertise on the boards.. that's probably easiest way.

I've had a lot of luck selling HTS stuff with 1 hour auctions taking 10-50k off TP price. There's always people combing the front page of auctions for deals, and I'e managed to sell a couple of unpopular MP's and gift bags and only lost 100k or so off the full cost :)

This is probably a very good idea because there are always people trying to snipe and might buy it on impulse. I personally would do this and at the same time advertise on the boards. You might end up getting someone who wants to make an easy 50k by waiting forever to sell(but they do not know that it isn't selling). That way your not scamming and they will only be dissapointed in a couple days.

-nods- That's a great idea :) I was trying to sell a purple pb once, going 350k on TP. No luck, so I auctioned it for 200k for two hours. It was sold for 320k LOL because of all the people impulsed and couldn't stop bidding haha I know that pbs are pretty ETS in general, but I think it goes the same for everything.

I would say advertise on the boards and use the TP. That's the best way for me.

There are always more people out there looking for a deal on a purple pb then someone actually looking for a purple pb :)

I prefer trading over auctions. Auctions can be good sometimes but other times it can be risky, if you don't put the price low enough or even if you do and noone bids, it will look bad for the item. If you stick it in the TP for a discount price you usually won't get an offer on it and in most cases it just decreases the value of the item. What usually works is spam mailing gallery owners. Like if it's a red yurble plushie do a search for something yurble related in the gallery section and mail gallery owners that like yurbles. You could try mailing gallery owners that collect plushies too but I never get much luck with that. Mainly because I find there a lot of people that collect plushies/books that sort of thing, but never actually buy unbuyables because there are so many of them. I do that with all my HTS items and it's not long before I get offers and in most cases the offers are for full TP. I once sold an R84 HTS in less then 5 minutes for full tp just by spam mailing (that doesn't happen much though :().
