I was wondering, would codex ever release a auto-adopting program, or consider it? I'm not sure how complex it would be, but was just curious.

That would be amazing but you might as well just paint your own pets.
Unless the program could somehow distinguish an awesome/rare name.

We could program it to say

"Do not adopt any pet with symbols in name"
"Do not adopt any pet with numbers in name"
"Do not adopt any pet with name length greater than xx characters"

Then you could just pound them back if the name is TERRIBLE

There is one around, but Neocodex doesn't have one up for download. I've used the one around, it's quite nice. It lets you determine if/how many numbers max in the name, number of pets to adopt, what species, what color, when to stop, etc. It's gotten me a few nice pets

Most annoying thing with an auto adopter tho is getting desert royals etc and then finding out there unclothed. Grrrr

I was thinking about this the other day when I was looking at the avatars I still need. If I could manage to snipe a Fire Blumaroo, Halloween Lupe, or Island Quiggle with an auto-adopter it would save me so much NP.

The clothes are useless without the pets they go on, right?

Or do the people just move the clothes into the gallery and pound the pets to fuck with the auto-adopters?

I believe the pb clothes cannot be removed from the closet. Also, people can just get new pets of the same species (for example when they have a vbn pet and want a wn one) and put the clothes on them.

No... You can adopt up to 4 times per day(if you have 0 pets) and abandon a pet once per day.
When a pet is CREATED you cannot transfer/abandon until it is 7 days old.

But it works great for Maraquans, LE's, and stuff and with those av pets it wouldn't matter if there were clothes.

I found a few petpages and people who will GIVE you the clothes you need if you have any unclothed pets. Apparently I didn't save them under favorites on this computer though.

If you painted a pet / lab zap to a color, the clothes associated with that paintbrush / color will not leave your closet. If you abandon your pet via pound, the clothes stay in your closet.

I *believe* if you transfer your pet though, all clothes stay on the pet.

SecondHandCloset is another. I'm listed with them.
It is possible to get clothes, you just have to have the species/color of the pet that the clothes belong to.
You transfer your pet to the person with the clothes and they transfer back with the clothes attached. It's very simple.
