Some ways, yeah. They can pee anywhere. They get paid more for the same job because most women don't negotiate as well. But they do miss out on some stuff. And as was said earlier (or elsewhere) you do get into bars easier and get free drinksGuys have it so easy though.
If you transformed into the opposite sex....

But would YOU buy her a drink ??I'm pretty sure she could even get some free drinks. Maybe a nice tank top + tight skinny jeans. Man. She'd be picking up drinks non-stop. She could do some sexy shit like licking her lips & it's simple.

That's probably why I've never herad it. SNL was before my time.
I still know a lot of SNL skits and they're before my time as well.

But they've changed.
But it's the same level of hilarity since it started! I honestly thought everyone knew about SNL.
It's the epitome of pop culture.
Seriously. Blues Brothers, Night at the Roxbury, Pat (hahahaha), Office Space, Waynes World, Superstar, and Coneheads.

Gawd, but if it was before our time it's impossible to go back and see it! It's not like any of these SNL things were captured on film so we could see it today. And if they HAD been taped, it's not like there's some place where people upload clips of copyrighted shows for everyone to enjoy. But it's the same level of hilarity since it started! Some of it is quite sexist...and racist...and it's slowwwww compared to today's entertainment...but it's also quite awesome
Looking forward to the Blues Brothers and Coneheads clips
I heard that the 1980 season was bad...not just because Ackroyd and Beluchi had left, but cos lots of the cast were on drugs, or psychotic. And that Ackroyd and Belushi were bullies according to Jane Curtin (which could be why it took 15 years for Curtin and Ackroyd to make Coneheads).

Yeah I suspect because it WAS the 1970s, you know, attitudes were different. They were also making quite a few "spastic" jokes.
This is the one I was referring to...It's about insurance which replaces husbands, where "replacement husband" sits on the couch and getures for his "wife" to come and sit on his lap, then starts kissing and feeling her up. A bit creepy at best.
There's another good one which is reverse sexism about female construction workers learning to oggle good looking men passing by the site. I'll rip this one and put it up on YouTube.

It must be the fact that SNL is based on whats trending at the time, I'm sure people who watched the episodes when they were new thought they were hilarious and awesome, which is why its still around. 35 seasons later.
And the new stuff is so damn GIFABLE.
Andy Samberg is awesome.
AND LASER CATS.

Oh yeah, I know shows were a lot less entertaining back then because they didn't have to be...not like they were competing with anything (Monopoly?). Still, for the nostalgia value I probably find things more funny than they were intended- ie all the stuff bagging out President Ford. I had no idea they thought he was a dumbass...I completely agree on the earlier SNL being slow. And not all the skits were great and hilarious. Alot were just 'eh'.

And it's funny how people were half way between laughing and not at some parts. In a 1976 SNL, there was this stand-up comedian singing a song about the President or referencing him or something, and people were only half laughing, as if they felt it was unamerican to laugh. I heard SNL pioneered parody of Presidents and politics in general on mainstream TV.
SNL must have picked up, or it wouldn't still be on TV. I've seen a Will Ferrell parody of Bush where Cheyney had told him he only had to last through the campaign and then didn't have to do anything; then Katherine Harris tells him he has to be President for four years, and he starts almost crying...LOL
(I checked youtube, it wasn't up )
