Hey guys, I'm new to all of this stuff but enjoy this site very much. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in commissioning me for Beauty Contest Artwork for Neopoints? PM me for a link to examples of my work

The only reason it isn't anymore is because these stupid kids would go crying to TNT if they didn't get their artwork that they "paid" for.If I were TNT I would basically keep it at a "do at your own risk" policy, but most people these days will cry and whine and screw things up regardless, drama whores. Anyone who private messages me will get a link to my artwork so they know what they are in for.

I once won a beauty contest, my image was terrible but I came 3rd overall and first for species, it was also 1 vote a contest back then, not 1 vote for each species.

The beauty contest has absolutely nothing to do with how great the picture is. It's strictly a popularity/advertising contest.

Being someone who enters the beauty contest with my own time consuming pictures, this post pisses me off.

But this is true. Some really shitty pictures win all the time. Sometimes I wonder if people have their neopets drawn by blind people.

Well, usually if your artwork is pretty decent along with the whoring for votes you usually make out pretty well. Most people respond well to beautiful work over ms paint epileptic spasms that are frequently seen. I enter the contest this past week for my own personal character seen on my avatar, I'll let you all know how she did :3

This is a nice idea, but I agree that how good the art is doesn't have as much to do with advertising to get placed in BC. Also, it might seems a bit suss if somebody's drawing style changes around too much, but an interesting idea anyway.

Lol, really, it makes no difference at all. People blindly vote to get the spammers out of the way, or ignore the spammers all togther. I've never clicked on a spam link and said ....mmmm, nah, this is crappy art, I'll have to pass on voting on it...

People, for the most part, couldn't give a rats ass if your art is good or not.

Also, very stupid move on your part to link any information to your account(s) on Neopets. Don't mention entering the BC with such and such and all that jazz. It's stupid and I could probably easily find you along with anyone else who looks hard enough

Haha. True. I just click on the links and vote. Sometimes if im too lazy or busy I just give a white lie saying i voted. xD I think maybe if u want to do Artwork Commisions maybe for people who's interested in the Art Gallery Contest thing, not so much of BC.

I'm pretty sure they'll catch on to seeing the same style on multiple accounts, especially if it does win.
I sure as shit would, and I know there are alot of serious BC people who would and report it.
Artists get serious with that shit.

I do that all the time. Not everything is worthy of my vote.
Also, I think it's hilarious when 'traditional' artists who enter something drawn in crayon think they're better than someone who creates their art digitally. Welcome to 2010, bitch. It's not about the method, it's about the end result.
