You may want to add that in the first page :p I think it's the main reason why people get frozen even though they're following every step you're stating in your guide, even though it's somewhat obvious.

No I don't play games anymore.
I have a lot of avatars and trophies that make it look like I am legit. I also have a gallery, stamp collection, neodeck, guild membership, kad score all for the sole purpose of maintaining my cover.

That I need to learn how to do, half the stuff I have no idea what they are.. Stamp collection?
Been too long since I've played my old acc is almost 10 years..

It was on the first page, actually.

Minimum profit: 5000, then 2500.

Lucky you cause I've only bought like 2.
Maybe it's because my account is pretty young that's all!

Do you notice any certain times to be better than others to AB? I used to AB for about an hour each morning (3-4 am NST) and I only got about 1 buy from a week of that every day :/

imo its just luck:) and maybe some tips:
if u not payed member....make ur own buylist for a shop! if u let the aber do it in every shop for 300 tries...u won´t get uch out!
or maybe just try to buy in igloo...100 millions within 4 weeks is enbelievable 4 me! maybe its right, but not with a non payed or -500posts acc

It's all luck. In the long run, it'll equal out. One month, I only got a handful of UB's that were worth less than a mil each. This month alone I've had about one a day, with several worth over 3 mil.

You got more this month?
That's pretty hard to believe with all the activity going on, thats pretty intense I barely make any profit for the month of December. Just a huge list of misses.

Yeah seriously. Holidays are no fun with shop overcrowding, but at least they get bought out and cleared quite a bit more often.

I started this initially to keep track of the profits that I made with Abrosia on a day to day basis but kept taking data indefinitely until I decided to make this into a study and closed the book at 4 months. The following data takes place between 1/18/2010 - 5/18/2010, spanning 120 days.

The reason I chose small shops over high risk ones is because I don't want to have to deal with getting frozen and starting over. I also hate the trading post with a passion so selling items through my shop is the perfect solution. I don't know if this is more profitable or not compared to Magic/BM/DM/Merifoods/Stamps but it's a hell of a lot safer. To each his own I guess.

Items:
Shops AB'd at: 1,4,7,13,30,37,98,108 (LOL FUCK MAGIC)
Items bought: 4647
Of those, 64 were Unbuyables. Out of 64 UB, only 1 sold for more than 300k.
Average Items per day: 38.7
Buyable:Unbuyable ratio - 71.6:1
Most items in 1 day: 97 (Shattered this record a few weeks after the study with 138)
Best advice I can give is: Go all out on Half Price Day ;)

Minimum profit: 5000, then 2500.

Profits
: Each day I recorded how much I made onto an excel file.
Profit from shops: 88,956,000 NP
NP Generator: 3,931,000 NP
Trades/Auctions: 10,100,000 NP

Total: 102,980,000 NP
Average Profit/Day: 741,300 NP
This was done with a 1 month account. I didn't hit 3 months until halfway through. **You do not need a 3 month account to make $money$**

Restock Habits:
Restocked Banned: 37 times or 30.8% of the time.

I restocked 8h a day the first few weeks, with Abrosia automatically pricing items for me which took up a chunk of the time. Later I stopped letting it price for me. Somewhere in the middle I was RS banned like crazy, hitting streaks like 6 days in a row if you look at the chart you'll see. So I slowed down to 4h a day, then later making my way up to 6h a day again.

I started out with 5.5 - 11.0 refresh rates/.4-.7 prehaggle/1.1-1.4 OCR and eventually got bolder. That and more and more competition forced me to lower them again and again to stay competitive. By the end I was using 4.5 - 9.0/.4-.7/.6-.9.

Here is the graph covering only shop data, not NP Gen. The peaks and troughs are very jagged because some days were better than others, as well as restock bans putting a dent in the day's profits. The green line is the 1 Million NP/day threshold. The red line is the average for that range of data.
From this graph we can infer that factors such as increased used of ABing has made it increasingly harder for me to make NP each day. Efforts I made to correct this like lowering my refresh rates and OCR/Prehaggle times didn't do much.

Spoiler

Here is a screenshot of the Excel file. (It covers a little more than 4 months)
Red = <500k/day. Yellow = >500k, <1mil, Light Green = >1 mil, <1.2mil, dark green = > 1.2mil
3rd row shows how I often I get RS banned.
Spoiler

I've tried to compile as much data as I can and to see this from as many angles as possible. Let me know if there are any more stats you want to know about.

I think because everyone is using these shops for ABing, the profit is down.. from those numbers :(
Also is there a working NP gen on this site?

The NP Gen no longer works. And you didn't need to quote that whole damn post, whyumad.

Are you gonna do a follow up to this, Scot? Do you still use the account? What are your stats like now? And most importantly, what have you done with all your glorious NPs? @_@

What would be considered a safe buy time? 2500 - 3000 ms?
or a Fast Buy Time (But still okay) - 2000 - 2500 ms?
etc.?

I'm not sure how much to set OCR, in fear of TNT noticing. I have read the guide, but 0.6-0.9 OCR still seems really really low

Well right now, you couldn't change it anyways. You have to get advanced to toy with your preferences.

A lot of the times, it depends on where exactly you're restocking. If you're restocking in places that aren't high profile (like magic, stamp, etc) you could probably get away with times below 2000 ms depending on your haggling as well. It also depends on how long you're restocking for - but 2500-3000 ms sounds pretty safe. I doubt that you would get iced for anything in that range or above unless you're restocking for obviously super long periods.

Meh it was a good idea when I clicked it last night to reply.. and that gets the point across anyways.
Yea I knew that, but I was hoping a new one would have been created or is up and working that's all.

It also depends on your internet speed on top of what turtle said. I know someone who had to set 0.1-0.3 because of bad internet in order to just get 1500-2000 times. Just test around with it, I'm sure if you stuck with 2000-2500 you'd be fairly safe as that is the average speed of most ABers.

Awesome results.
I just started using the AB'er,
Made 100K in one day, with approximately 4 hours of AB'ing I think.
And I'm a non paying user, so the settings are all default.
I'm pretty happy with the results.

I'm wondering,
What is that NP generator you talk about?

It was a program that clicked sponsor links, resulting in 43k (64k for advanced) NP. But TNT has disabled the links (hypothesized because of the upcoming plot) and they haven't been back up yet

This (shutting down the links) happens every so often though, so we're hoping they'll return soon
