They sure did, How very strange. i mean its got my first and second names on there so its deffinatly mine. Im goning to keep trying, Im raiding all my emails now for the password recovery

There might be none they unfroze mine but didn't give me the password...

yeah i dont think i like this, i had just come back from not playing for about 4 years and i f i came back a little later i might not of had my account

same here, i just started playing again last month after not touching my accounts for just over 2 years.. SO lucky haha

Some old accounts that are REALLY old are still around, yet a bunch of my old shells were purged during my 6 year hiatus Iunno, there's probably a standard also along with the 2 year inactivity thing.

I don't have any old accounts due to two chain freezings and IP bans, but none of my old names were desirable and I pretty much sucked at Neopets until recently.

I'm really excited to snatch up some of those usernames and pet names I've been drooling over, though!

Yes Georgie you are right about the password recovery; Mine come through today after sending it twice yesterday (: Got my 6 year old account back and i am very chuffed to say the least, Very bad account name though LOL

yes they did. I received an email to an address that had a 5 year old account attached to it that said my account was getting deleted. Too bad.

I don't think the purge is even started... I had my very very old main frozen before. The name is horrible. Haven't even got that purged yet.. No one has found anything yet

TNT, I was just wondering: did the name purge mentioned in January really take place? Also, when will the next name purge be? Does the name purge only delete unused accounts, frozen accounts, or both? If this makes it in, please remove my username. Thanks! *throws chocolate* ~username removed ...... The purge is currently going on, but slowly, unlike previous times when we deleted massive numbers of accounts at once. The purge deletes long-abandoned accounts that were never used much at all, as well as very, very old frozen accounts.

First mail I saw stated account would go on or around 8th and also had one for 21st. From what I can see this relates to the 3rd birthday of the account (or as near as dam it). They were both old shells I never used with no pets or items.

So like others I am name stalking each day to see when they get purged but I have a horrible feeling this is going to take some time .... a bit like pound release

I know of an old account of mine which got deleted cause i forgot the bday/password...

The accounts i got back were all 6 years old if thats anything to go by.

If you had a relly active account that hasnt been used in years then the chances are slim of them deleting it. Im pretty sure the majority of accounts being deleted are shells.

The mail i recieved was about a very active account i havent touched for years, this has everything on it, Neohome, shop, gallery.. (:
