Today i had a random NF request, And due to all this CG'er business, Decided to check the account
using my side account. I have now lost a side account.

This person had a CGer on their lookie; Which i suspected anyways.
So just for anyone else who gets a random request dont check the lookup. I know this will be common sence to most of you
just thought id put the word out (:

Disable javascript if you're wanting to view somebody's lookup or shop etc and the cookie grabber won't work.

I'm really sorry to hear about that :C Please make sure to put a pin on your main. I got cookie grabbed just yesterday.

If you feel inclined, you can also download an add on for firefox that only allows javascript to run with your permission. That's what I'm running now and it works well.

Instead of disabling javascript, can't you just use Noscript? Thats what I'm now using and I'm pretty sure it works

Well NoScript does effectively turn javascript off for sites which aren't whitelisted so it's the same thing really. :p

I just turn off javascript whenever I'm on neopets unless I need to do something like 1P Battledome etc.

Although I think I'm just paranoid sometimes :p

Seems like a waste of an account to me. If you turned off java you'd still have it.

I never even look at random NF requests. 'Course, I leave NF open so people can request, but still. If they're not neomailing you first, why do they even expect...?

its getting worse and worse though, it spread from shops, then to petpages, and now to pet and userlookups :|

Fixed

Back on topic, those dastard CGer's are getting trickier and trickier with their tactics to make people view their page just to CG them...how loathsome. I wish chrome would have a noscript but then again disabling javascript on it works basically like noscript.

I think theres a post somewhere on the forums that shows you how

If you are using firefox go to options -> content -> uncheck enable javascript

Not 100% sure on exactly the steps since I'm using a mac so its slightly different

There's no difference in that regard for firefox in windows. It's still click on Tools -> Options and then Click on Content and uncheck enable javascript.
