Never heard of it.
Ditto. I just downloaded Abrosia, but I've never heard of Ambrosia.

how safe is it? safe to use on mains?
I haven't started using it, but from what I understand, as long as you don't mess with the settings too much you'll be fine.
You also need to not let it run for hours at a time, because that will get you frozen, and just to be safe, stay out of stamp and magic.

As posted in over 9000 threads, it's safe provided that you use your common sense--not running it for 20 hours straight, multiple accounts without an effort of using a proxy, etc etc.
common sense is not very common as proven by those 9000 threads.
EDIT: ooops 9001 including this one.
