Nothing, never was something to celebrate in my current family. Nor any holiday for that matter now that I think about it.
Your current family...?
My mom and my sister's birthdays are a day apart, right after Christmas, so I'll usually get a few things for each of them, give them most of it on Christmas, save one gift for their birthdays, and offer to take them out to dinner. Sometimes we'll make my mom breakfast in bed or something. I don't see my dad that often, so I usually just get him a card.

crafting things turns out to be junks.
buying stuff turns out to be wasting their money cause you do not have an income.
and the rest turns out to be not bothered and treat it as a daily day.

My dads 69 (harhar)) and my mums 56.
The stuff i used to hear as a young girl that didnt click untill later years...man....
e.g Mum: Ohhhh John, i have carpet burns on my knees today! Dad: shows that I was doing it right *wink*
So im really used to it now,
To celebrate though i allways do something special take them out for a meal or for drinks or what not!
Couple of years ago I took them clubbing, omg that was so funny.
Edit: my dad dont use sexdrugs either - hes like a one of those old randy british dudes you used to see on Tv..

if lazy, we just order in lots of food.
But really for the last years before that, they will always cook a LOT of food.
Nowadays, we stick to eating out so no one is tired.

I wouldn't mind sexing the mom though if the dads out. Then telling the dad about it later and be like "Sir i tried so hard to push her away but sir your wifes a skank" and see him throw her out.

Edit: with nice weather you can have everyone take along small things for the BBQ and have a huge dinner in the garden
