I was looking around for an attic autobuyer and I ended up in the darkztar forum. I think it was this one anyway. They have a program that copies neopets usernames from the boards and auctions and then automatically tries to guess the passwords. It kind of made me mad, so yeah.

yeah, back in the day, I saw someone who's account name was like eminem4ever or something like that. So out of curiosity, It tried to log in to it with the password eminem and low and behold...Easy solution? Don't use "password" or "abc123" like an idiot would.

wow I never heard of this before, so maybe this is how people are getting hacked and calling it cg, possibly?

Another thing to be careful about is when signing up to Neopets help sites and forums (Jellyneo, thedailyneopets etc) to use a completely different password to any of your other accounts. If you use the same password then it's possible for people to exploit those help sites and gain access to their database then they can use the information from there to gain access to other accounts like emails, Neopets etc.

It's not being hacked, as nobody is altering any kind of system, all they do is run a program with account names and a list of common passwords and hope it cracks something.wow I never heard of this before, so maybe this is how people are getting hacked and calling it cg, possibly?

I don't know if you're joking or not, but you probably need to change that.
And if it's real and some people here know your account(s) you're fucked haha.

I really hope that your password isn't password12 Although if it were mine it wouldn't be a problem since my account is so unknown (except for a few high score tables I guess )
